The Sabbath

  • As Jesus Christ who was known as God, was The Law-giver, and He made all things, He also made the Sabbath, after He had made everything and ended His works on the sixth day, resting on the Seventh day, and setting it apart as holy time.
  • The Sabbath is a gift from God and an identifying sign of His children.
  • That the Sabbath was made a formal command at Mount Sinai and written with the finger of God.
  • The Sabbath was practiced by God’s people in the Old Covenant, by Jesus and His apostles in the New Testament, including Paul and the Gentile converts in the church, and remains in effect to this day.
  • That Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Sabbath and that the Sabbath will be kept by everyone when He establishes His millennial Kingdom on this earth.
  • True Christians are those that follow Christ, and therefore must acknowledge that the Sabbath is to be kept forever.
  • Though Rome changed this command for their followers in 325 A.D, we that follow God obey Him, regardless of what any man says, knowing that God will bless them that do so.
  • The Sabbath was made and set apart for holy time by God before the Law was restated at Mt Sinai and cannot be done away, for God gave the Law, not Moses.
  • Only Moses rituals of Law done away by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as The Lamb of God, not God’s Spiritual Laws. Remember, as God changes not, neither does His Word.
  • The Sabbath is to be kept from even to even, commencing at sunset to sunset, when each day ends, and another begins.
